About Us

Since 1980, the Transitional Vocational Program at Mount Royal University

has been providing a variety of post-secondary programs to adults with

developmental disabilities. The Employment Preparation Certificate program

supports students to find and maintain competitive employment. TVP also

offers also offers part-time courses which are taught by certified instructors

and focus on individual student learning goals.

Inclusive Post-Secondary Education provides support to students with varying

abilities to find your identity, explore your potential and develop friendships.

We recognize the value of a post-secondary experience in the process of

becoming an adult. Students in MRU's Inclusive Post-Secondary Education are

enrolled in a variety of programs of study throughout the University, and we work

to expand those programs of study based on the interest of each individual

student. Students are encouraged and supported to connect with their classmates,

get involved in various on-campus extra-curricular activities and events, and to

pursue interest specific practicum and work opportunities.
