Providence offers two unique Alberta Education-funded school-based
program streams: those based in our six schools across Calgary and those
based in approved neighbourhood community preschools and child care
programs (our LEARN Program). Providence school-based programs are
designed to support children who may not be meeting typical developmental
milestones and include early Intervention, preschool, junior kindergarten and
funding (Program Unit Funding - PUF) through Alberta Education. Each child
has an Individual Program Plan (IPP) developed by the Providence Learning
Team and the parent/guardian. This IPP outlines educational and and therapy
goals specific to the child's identified needs.
Providence also offers specialized programs and services in the community
to support the development of all children.
